So now, let’s dive into what the partnership really is.
Who is Krust?
Krust is a subsidiary of Kakao and leads Kakao’s global business with a focus on innovative technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence. This, of course, includes Klaytn. Krust has three main missions:
- INCUBATE innovative startups that are building the next generation of applications.
- INVEST in early and growth-stage startups with global potential.
- INVIGORATE the Klaytn ecosystem proactively and systematically.

What are you two up to?
Krust and KNS have executed an MOU and agreed on the following matters:
- Krust will be investing in KNS for the betterment of the Klaytn ecosystem.
- Krust will become one of the major KNS token holders.
- The entire KNS tokens acquired by Krust will be locked-up until 6 months have passed from the official launching of the KNS Staking function.
- Even after 6 months, monthly vesting will be continued for another 30 months.
As for the details regarding tokenomics, we will prepare a separate article.
What more?
The partnership with Krust will allow us to better access the Klaytn ecosystem. We will soon be able to deliver you exciting news on integrations with:
- Klaytn wallets
- Block explorers
- Klaytn based games & metaverse projects
- NFT projects
- De-fi platforms
We already announced partnerships with leading de-fi projects on Klaytn via Twitter and Discord. But seriously, this, is just the beginning.
How do I get KNS tokens?
Simple. Participate in our Private Auction which will be held in late March and become a winner. There’s a sneak-peak of the auction in our previous article, but here’s something more:
- We will not be conducting an IDO (nor IEO). For public allocation, we will only conduct airdrops to Private Auction winners.
- The higher bid you have made, the more airdrop you will get. For example, a winner with the bid of 1,000 KLAY, will have more airdrops than the sum of two 500 KLAY-bid-winners.
- A significant portion of the revenue from the Private Auction will be streamed into KNS tokenomics to reward KNS token holders.
- Swap, staking, liquidity pools, voting will be added to enrich the tokenomics.
Details of the auction will be announced in a couple of weeks.
